Once the Rental Assurance act pasess, Lease Assurance will change the Oregon rental market and provide truly equitable access to housing. Since 98% of rental applications will be approved with Lease Assurance, and 97% of all leases that end in bad debt can be paid in full with coverage of up to 3x the rent, Oregon’s renters and landlords can both rent with confidence.
Find a home you love
Lease Assurance is similar to a co-signer for applicants applying for rental housing who would otherwise be denied but better! It requires all landlords to allow renters that did not meet the screening criteria because of credit, evictions, bankruptcy, low income, or lack of rental history to purchase a policy in order to be approved. Now renters can apply with confidence anywhere they earn at least 2x the rent.
For renters who are approved, they can pay a lease insurance premium instead of a deposit, and know that any debt they leave behind will be covered. This allows them to move into a home they love without paying steep upfront move-in costs. It’s a win for all renters!
Select a monthly premium
Once you select a property it's time to select a premium. Our premiums are calculated based on the property’s rent amount and other factors collected during your background check. With our Scorecard system, you have complete transparency into how our premiums are calculated. Simply pick a refundable deposit amount of 25% - 100% or choose to rent with no deposit at all!
We've got you covered
The policy covers both the landlord and the renter up to 3x the rent for any financial losses. If the resident defaults per the term and conditions of the lease, skips, is evicted, or moves out with unpaid damages we’ve got you covered, we even cover court fees! Since 97% of all leases that end in bad debt will be made whole with our coverage, landlords can now lease to everyone with confidence.
